Our Facility
We are located in the small rural town of St. Malo, Manitoba, south of Winnipeg and less than an hour’s drive from the Minnesota border.
Our facility used to be a convent for the Sisters of the Cross who taught at the town’s school back in the day. We took over their facility in 1992 when we opened.
The parish church is next door to us, an enormous and beautiful twin-spired architectural landmark of the area.
We have our own dedicated chapel, with the Blessed Sacrament. Our students live under the same roof as Jesus!
Ascension Hall is our a primary meeting area and common space, and we have other smaller lounges and meeting rooms. Outside, we have a large backyard and firepit.
The oldest part of the building was built over 100 years ago, with several new renovations and additions since then, including a new kitchen.
We are across the highway from beautiful St. Malo Provincial Park and the official diocesan Lourdes Grotto Shrine.
We have three separate dormitory areas. One is used primarily by our Companions and for rental groups. The other two will be used by the men and women of the DFP.
